VEC ™ CFRP (carbon fiber vinyl ester resin) pipes are in the pultrusion / Pullwinding process as well as in filament winding and manufactured using the wet-pressing process.
Vinyl acetate is sort of a combination of epoxy resin and polyester resin. Outstanding properties of vinyl ester are combined, the high temperature resistance and chemical resistance with excellent mechanical properties (stiffness / fracture strain). Compared to vinyl ester epoxy resins have advantages that make them ideal for processing into finished products (profiles): a low viscosity, ie fast and very good impregnation of carbon fiber and a fast, well-controlled curing. This makes it possible to produce semi-finished products with high quality epoxydharzähnlicher strength economically and thus inexpensive.
